The Fishercat

Hello! This is a review about a game called the Fishercat. It is made by Macaron and Load Complete. The game’s objective is to reach a place called Catlantis, A magical place where an ancient civilization of fishercats and unique fish reside. You have catch fish by harpooning them. It is a one player game. It has 2 currencies: Coins and gears. I am in the Scottish Fold right now. I takes me to the ocean cave area. Like most games this one also has upgrades. It has 5 kinds of upgrades: Skins, Sub items, air tank, ship and harpoon. I will describe each one later…

Skins

These allow your player to look different. The base skin is Biscat. The also come with different features like fish will come near you, the jellyfish charge will lessen and more.

Harpoon

If you upgrade your harpoon, then you will have certain benefits like more distance, lesser oxygen consumption, power and few more. Also, you get different kinds like the sniper, basic, cannon, marlin and more.

Air tank

Upgrading your air thank is beneficial as it increases the amount of oxygen, which means 2 things: you can harpoon more fish and stay underwater for longer.

Ship

Upgrading your ship allows you to travel to different regions of the ocean and catch unique fish from different areas.

Sub Items

Sub items are items used to increase your catch. There are 3 sub items: net, bait and electro bomb. The net allows you to catch fish lots of fish in a specific area with one shot, the bait lures fish to a specific point and the electro bomb paralyses them. Bait and electro bomb do not work on jelly fish and net cannot catch huge fish.

Menaces

Jelly fish and parasites are pure trouble. Jelly fish shock you if you hit them costing you lots of oxygen. Parasites eat any fish you harpoon, and they do not give the fish back if you harpoon them. Each differ in different areas and size changes their name. The jellyfish in coral reef are Flower jellyfish and the ones in ocean caves are known as Gum jellyfish and small parasites in coral reefs are known as Butterfly fish and bigger ones there are known as swallowtail fish and the small ones in ocean caves are known as Dino and bigger ones are known as Sour.

You also have letterbox where you receive letters and newspapers. You also have an occasional visit to fishercat’s dream, where you catch unique fish while riding an air tank, hitting bubbles to get more air and propelled backwards by shooting the harpoon. There is also a travelling merchant who sells coins for gears and vice versa. He sends you a letter 2 days beforehand. You can bargain with him for watching an ad also his wares get more expensive when you buy more.

Aquarium

You unlock this feature in 25 days. Here you can get fish to decorate it, decorations for it and backgrounds and the better your aquarium the more stuff you get.

What I think of the game

I really like it. I like ocean cave the most. On the island the aquarium is the best. I really want to reach Catlantis…
